DIY Natural Skin and Body Care
Wednesday, August 06 2014, 5:30pm - 8:30pm

Learn how to use garden herbs and other organic, plant-based ingredients to make your own high quality skin care products.  This is a great way to connect with the plants in your garden, save money, and reduce exposure to unwanted chemicals typically found in commercial products.  In this class, we’ll talk about how to make your own food-based facial cleanser, make-up remover, skin cream and more.  We’ll discuss how to process fresh herbs, how to make an herbal infused oil, and the advantages of various plant-based ingredients.  You will take home a sample of skin cream we make together in class, custom blended with your choice of essential oils, as well as recipes for other common skin care needs. Materials fee, payable by cash or check on day of class: $5 per person.
