Your Backyard Medicine Chest - Rescheduled
Saturday, January 11 2014, 10:00am - 1:00pm

This class has been rescheduled from Saturday, December 7.

Most people don’t think of the spice rack or the wild weeds growing in the Sacramento area as part of their medicine chest. Right under our feet are some amazing plants for medicinal uses: mugwort, dandelion, walnuts, ginger, lavender, California poppy and so many more. We will sample, smell and taste many plants plus learn how to transform them into herbal medicines to be utilized. This is a very experiential class and we will be going over how to prepare the herbs, what they are used for, and any contra indications as well.

Instructor: Candis Cantin, Evergreen Herb Garden

$35, $30 Co-op owners

Note: Class held at Soil Born Farm’s American River Ranch, 2140 Chase Drive in Rancho Cordova.
