In this class, we’ll discuss one of nature’s healthiest and most economical foods: the humble bean. Beans and legumes are full of protein and fiber, making them an essential part of a plant-based diet. We’ll discuss basic methods for cooking beans as well as their powerful nutritional benefits. Our menu includes: pressure cooked black bean soup; herbed sunflower chickpea burgers; slow cooked white bean cassoulet with rosemary, and “save the world with love loaf” with wild mushroom gravy.
