As long as humans and bees have coexisted, honey has been a prized ingredient. In this hands-on class, Janet—herself a home beekeeper—will share her techniques for using honey in three delicious products: mead—a lovely ancient fermented honey beverage; chamomile-honey liqueur, and honey-strawberry jam. We’ll discuss replacing cane sugar with local honey in your favorite canning recipes, and take home samples of what we’ve made in class.

Instructor: Janet McDonald, The Good Stuff
