Global Warming Activist Workshop
Thursday, April 04 2013, 6:00pm - 7:00pm

Environment California invites you to our first ever Global Warming Activist Workshop. We will be getting activists and volunteers from the Sacramento area together in the Garden Room of the Sierra 2 Center to discuss ways to stand up to Big Oil and show our elected officials that California expects them to take action on Global Warming.

With more extreme weather year after year, global warming is starting to hit pretty close to home. Eight in 10 Californians now live in a county that has been hit by a weather-related disaster since 2007. And that’s just crazy. Especially when we are the world’s 12th largest source of carbon pollution, which fuels global warming.

We can and must do more to cut carbon pollution in California. And we’re going to start in Sacramento.

At our meeting, we’ll talk about small actions all of us can take to urge our decision makers in the Capitol -- right here in our backyard -- to support programs that would build more solar roofs, put more pollution-free cars on the road, and make the oil industry clean up their act. We can definitely do this, but we have to band together.

Please take a moment to RSVP here so we know to expect you.

All members of the Sacramento community are welcome. This will be a kid-friendly event and we will have pizza available for anyone who comes hungry.

This event has already passed.

If you are experiencing difficulties signing up for an event, please let us know.
