The food and wine of Tuscany transports, comforts and entices. Enjoy eggplant involtini (eggplant baked with prosciutto and mozzarella); a red pepper tart made with zucchini, sweet red peppers and Parmesan; brodetto (a rustic Italian seafood stew made with fish, shrimp, scallops, tomatoes, white wine and saffron, and sacred peaches (caramelized peaches drenched in a sweet Italian dessert wine served over ice cream). Each dish is paired with a unique wine. The class will include a discussion of how each wine complements the food.
