Every year, approximately 400,000 children work in agricultural fields picking crops instead of going to school or playing with their friends. The award-winning documentary La Cosecha follows the stories of three of those children as they work as migrant farm laborers to help their families survive. The Sacramento Rescue and Restore Victims of Human Trafficking Coalition will discuss the continuum of labor exploitation as it occurs in the agriculture industry and the intersections between child labor and human trafficking. Strategies for a brighter future will be explored. Snacks will be provided.
