Papusas and Arepas
Tuesday, April 24 2012, 6:30pm - 8:30pm

This class will take you on a tour of El Salvador, Venezuela and Colombia for mouth-watering filled masa recipes. We will make two kinds of  pupusas: hot and griddled corn cakes filled with beans and cheese, and one with spice rubbed pulled pork, both served with traditional tangy curtido. Then learn how to make arepas from two countries: a round masa pocket bread filled with chicken and black beans from Venezuela, and smaller Colombian arepas, griddled and brushed with butter and topped with melted cheese.
