Free Community Event
Wildflowers Wonders is a project of the Sacramento Valley Chapter of the California Native Plant Society. This year we will have a Food Vendor so that you can spend the entire day with us without needing to leave the event for lunch!
Plant Exhibit & Interactive Fun: The plant exhibit will showcase native plants of the American River Watershed. It will be hosted by expert naturalists. Focus on flowers - Get lost in the delicate details of flowers and their pollinators using a microscope; a Scavenger Hunt with prizes and Plant a Poppy!
Native Plant Sale: Elderberry Farms (our Chapter Nursery) and Cornflower Farms will have plants for sale. Gardening experts will be there to help you get the best plants for your garden. As always, a wide variety of gardening books, field guides and other native plant literature will be for sales.
Free Plant: Join or renew your CNPS membership at the sale and choose a 1-gallon plant from Elderberry Farms!
Walks & Talks: Family Friendly! Each walk will start with a talk. Including: Native Plants & Why We Should Care; Birding Walk; Bees & You; Soil Born Farms Tour and Creek Walk.
