Food for Life: Diabetes Prevention and Treatment
Thursday, September 08 2011, 6:30pm - 8:30pm

Uncontrolled diabetes can lead to many challenges. Research has shown that a low-fat, plant-based nutrition approach can turn type 2 diabetes around, prevent complications and reduce the need for medication. Emily will show you how to make simple and delicious recipes to improve your health: good-enough-for-guests green salad; yes-you-can black bean chili; slow cooker sweet potatoes, and chocolate cherry nirvana smoothie. This class is produced by The Physician’s Committee for Responsible Medicine.
