Indian Street Food
Thursday, June 23 2011, 6:00pm - 8:30pm

Shankari will prepare dishes she grew up eating from street vendors in India. She’ll make vada pav, a spicy fried potato filling with garlic chutney; fresh corn grilled and basted with cayenne and a dash of lime juice; chila, chickpea pancakes topped with a spicy chutney; kati rolls, wheat tortillas with bell peppers, paneer and fresh herbs; and a classic lassi, a sweet drink flavored with cardamom.
