Making your own homemade bread is satisfying, rewarding and also economical. In this class we will make and sample a variety of bread recipes using an assortment of preparation techniques. We will make and sample an Irish soda bread with currents, a “no-knead” bread which will be transformed into an apple and dried cherry custard bread pudding, a hearty whole wheat bread served with homemade strawberry jam and a rustic beer bread made with dark beer. This class will be a combination of lecture, demonstration and hands-on activity.
