Class Registration Information

The Sacramento Natural Foods Co-op’s Community Learning Center & Cooking School is just one way we are working to fulfill our purpose to be trusted source of natural foods and products and a reliable source for consumer information.

Our program offers something for everyone — from cooking classes and wellness seminars to gardening workshops and farm to fork events — to make connections about important food, health and environmental issues.

The Co-op is committed to supporting organic local family farms and small producers of high quality food. We highlight these growers and producers in our store and cooking classes.

CLASS REGISTRATION

All classes and events are held in the Co-op Community Learning Center & Cooking School at 1914 Alhambra Blvd. unless otherwise noted. Pre-registration is required for all classes. Fees are due at the time of registration.

Host a Private Cooking Class

If you are looking to a private team-building event for your office, or simply a unique, fun event for friends, we provide a hands-on cooking class that would be a perfect gathering.

Want to Teach a Class at the Co-op?

The Co-op seeks creative, fun and energetic instructors for its cooking school and learning center curriculum. The first step is to submit this course proposal and some information that lets us know about your ideas and experience with the topic.

CO-OP OWNERS SAVE ON CLASSES

COOKING CLASS ASSISTANT PROGRAM

Sign up (on a first-come, first-serve basis) and attend for 50% off!

Prep Assistants: arrive 90 minutes prior to class to assist the teacher. They may also assist during the class.

Clean-up Assistants: assist with clean-up (up to 90 minutes).

PARKING

Due to limited space, we kindly ask that class participants do not park in the Co-op’s parking lot. Free street parking is available for evening classes. Additional parking is available in the parking garage at S and 30th streets.

CHILDREN IN CLASS

We are proud to offer many kids and teens cooking classes geared especially for youngsters. If you would like your child to attend an adult cooking class with you, please request prior approval by calling 916 868–6399. We ask that babies and small children are not brought to class.

All students under 18 years of age must have their parents fill out a waiver/consent form for each cooking class. Print out this form and bring with you to class! Please download the form here.

ALCOHOL POLICY

Students over 21 years will be offered a complimentary glass of wine during most cooking classes. We are sorry but students are not permitted to bring in their own alcohol.

PHOTOGRAPHY

In some cases, photography is allowed during classes. Please attain permission from a class assistant.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Fee is nonrefundable and classes are nontransferable with less than a 48-hour cancellation notice.

We reserve the right to change any menu due to availability of seasonal ingredients. We expect all students to behave in a safe and respectful manner, and we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
