CalPERS Health Fair

Quinoa, cranberry and cashew nut salad was the highlight of the Co-op's outreach booth at the CalPERS Health Fair. This vegan and gluten-free salad, which is available in the Co-op Deli, is such a popular dish to serve at events. Hundreds of employees visited our booth inquiring about the Co-op's products and education programs.
Outreach Demos at YMCA Summer Camp

The young children at the YMCA summer camp enjoyed the Co-op's cooking demonstration of "crunchy carrot" salad. Hands-on activities included measuring and mixing ingredients and grating carrots. The kids learned a few basic cooking skills as well as food safety and nutrition with a focus on local, organic produce.
